Pioneer House Pearls

A very Happy New Year to everyone for our first Pioneer Pearls for 2012. The year has got off to an excellent start following our Accreditation Assessment in the second week of January.

After a very thorough assessment of all of our systems, and interviewing residents, family members and staff we were very proud to hear that the assessors would recommend that we are compliant with all 44 standards. For those of you unfamiliar with the process, we have to wait 14 days to hear from the Standards and Accreditation Agency to see if the decision maker agrees with the assessors. So although the decision is not final I felt it important that you know some of the things the assessors said at our exit interview.

The assessors highly commended our staff and their level of commitment, dedication and attention to treating each resident as an individual. I was extremely proud of each and every staff member. One of the comments also noted the ingenuity and resourceful of staff in solving problems.

I felt very proud of all our staff and secure in the knowledge that Pioneer House provides an excellent service to the Mudgee community. The assessors also commented on the wonderful support we receive from the community, with which I wholeheartedly agree.
